With Oregon’s football recruiting rankings improving to a near-perfect level, the Ducks are currently in the top five in terms of recruits and the top ten in terms (in terms of rank) of college football.
Oregon is ranked No. 2 nationally, No. 4 in the country and No. 8 in the Big 12.
Oregon currently has a recruiting class of 23 players (21 offensive, 12 defensive) with a combined 247Sports Composite class rating of #19, according to 247Sports.
That ranks No. 1 in the nation and No, 5 in the conference.
The 247Sports rankings for Oregon’s 2017 class are now at #19.
The Oregon recruiting rankings were based on 247Sports’ 2017 class rankings.
The rankings were released last week, and we’re posting the results today.
The Ducks have a very competitive 2017 class with five of the top-10 recruits on the Ducks recruiting board, according the 247Sports composite.
The top 10 players on the 247Composite rankings are:Terrance West, DE, Alabama (5-star):West, who is rated as the No. 15 overall prospect in the 247 Composite, will be entering his junior season at Alabama.
He had 247Sports #15 as a freshman in 2017 and was rated as a four-star recruit by Scout.
West’s best position is defensive end.
He has played a variety of positions at Alabama, including defensive tackle and guard, as well as safety and cornerback.
West has been recruited by Oregon, Auburn and other schools, but has been a non-factor in the recruiting process.
He also has not enrolled at Alabama for his junior year.
The Top 20 offensive linemen on the 2017 247Compsite are:Jameis Winston, QB, Florida (4-star), and Cam Robinson, DE/OLB, Auburn (4.5-stars): Winston and Robinson both have top-40 recruiting classes in their respective classes and will be playing in 2018.
Robinson is ranked as a 4-star prospect by Scout, while Winston is ranked at No. 13.
The top-ranked offensive linemen in the 2017 recruiting class are:Derek Barnett, DE from Alabama (4) and Jameis Freeman, RB, Alabama, (4): Barnett is rated a four star prospect by Rivals and is ranked in the same range as Freeman.
Barnett is also a projected top-25 pick.
The bottom 10 offensive linemen currently on the 2016 247Composition rankings are #19 (Auburn), #21 (Florida), #27 (Washington) and #30 (Kansas).#23 is #27 from Texas A&M, which is ranked the #12-ranked team in the SEC by Scout and has one of the most talented offensive lines in the sport.#30 is from LSU, which has two of the best offensive lines nationally, the #10-ranked recruiting class and the #4-ranked defensive line.
The rankings for the 2016 recruiting class will be released in March 2018.
