How Florida State can go 4-0 with a win over the Hokies


Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is the top recruit in the 2017 class and the No. 1 recruit in Florida.

The Seminoles will be without four starters for Saturday’s game against Hokies running back Shaq Washington, who was suspended indefinitely after violating team rules and violating team policy.

Cook was rated as the No .2 running back nationally, the No 1 overall prospect in Florida and the top overall prospect nationally, according to 247Sports Composite.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pounder is the No 7 overall prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He also has the No 5 commitment in the state of Florida according to

Cook, a 5-star prospect, was the No 3 overall recruit in 2017 and the second-best player in the country in 2017 according to and 247Sports.

He committed to Florida State on Dec. 13.

FSU beat Miami 52-40 in the Peach Bowl and won the Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, and they won the ACC championship in 2018.

Cook and Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher were teammates at Auburn.
