With the recruitment of four-star linebacker Deondre Jackson set to begin in earnest, some believe the Ole Miss football program is poised for a recruiting blitz to the 2018 class.
But that blitz won’t be happening until 2018.
The Ole Miss coach has previously stated that recruiting for the 2018 recruiting class will begin in October or November, according to a 247Sports Insider.
That means that Jackson, who is committed to the Rebels and will be in attendance for the Rebels spring game, will not be on the field until that recruiting blitz is complete.
But if the recruiting blitz doesn’t begin until October or Nov. that means it won’t take place until the 2019 recruiting class is on the practice field and the recruits have a chance to get a look at each other.
The only player that is considered on the roster right now is cornerback Josh Adams, a three-star prospect and one of the top cornerbacks in the 2019 class.
Adams is committed on the Ole Rebels campus, and it is not clear when he would be on campus.
It is unclear if he will be able to participate in the Ole Mississippi Spring Game, which takes place on Saturday.
He is expected to attend the game with his family.
