The US Army recruitment headquarters in Florida has opened to the public, with construction beginning on a new space and staff members set to arrive by the end of the month.
The base, located at Fort Lewis, has been undergoing extensive renovations in recent years to make it more inviting for recruiting and other military activities.
A video posted on Facebook on Thursday showed construction crews laying new concrete floors, replacing pipes and installing electrical cables, while others showed a new flooring, which was painted to match the colors of the base.
It was announced earlier this year that the base would be transformed into a recruiting facility, and the Army said the new facilities will be fully operational by June.
